Work & Life

Over a 7 year period, my brain has never grasped the mundane workings of a standard office environment. Bureaucracy overwhelms every inch of space and consumes every breath fresh of air. A simple step forward develops into a 50 mile triathlon of dangerously positioned hurdles! Every rule has its own subset of rules which no one is familiar with in detail, yet each serves as a reference open to interpretation by the first galoot who comes along.

I admit I struggle with finding a sense of order in this chaos, much less attempting to atone for mistakes I make while watching others flounder unnoticed. It's painful to be the lackey, knowing full well that your superiors are in the wrong. When order finally emerges from the chaos and all appears to be mended, inevitably a cog will fall loose from the assembly and the cycle begins again.

But with bills to pay, medical benefits and a tough job market, where do you turn? My photography business is the most successful entrepreneurship I've attempted, but it certainly could not sustain my family on its own.

Life is great! I love my fiancée and the life we live - Work is killing me though. My soul is stabbed every morning I wake up and drudge in. Better opportunities surely exist out there, and I'm trying to locate them as best I can.

If I could put all this into a photo, the whole world would see the idiocy I put up with day-to-day. On that note...More photos to come soon!
